About us
Healthy Gay Cornwall (previously known as the "Gay Men's Health Project") is part of the Sexual Health Promotion Team, funded by Cornwall & Isles Of Scilly Primary Trust. Click here to go the Health Promotion website.
We aim to reduce the spread of HIV & Sexually Transmitted Infections within Gay/Bisexual men and men who have sex with men.
We also promote a holistic model of health for gay/bisexual men and MSM.We work on a "you decide" rather than "we decide" basis, as we believe in giving men choices, and encouraging men to make changes based on what they feel is right and acheiveable for them, not us. Mental, physical and sexual health are all interlinked and impact on one another, and issues such as substance use, diet and activity can impact our minds and bodies in a variety of ways.
Healthy Gay Cornwall works in partnership with other local & national agencies, including GUM (sexual health) clinics, police, domestic violence, mental health, education, social and support services. Between us, we aim to provide a cohesive range of services and opportunities that support and improve the lives of men in Cornwall & Isles of Scilly.
We are based in Pool, Redruth (click here for directions) however much of our work takes place out in the community, across Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly.
