Healthy Gay Cornwall Take Pride In Their Stride

Healthy Gay Cornwall will be showcasing a number of ways for gay men to stay healthy at this Saturday’s Pride event in Truro. Cornwall Pride, the annual lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender celebration starts at Lemon Quay at 11am with a colourful procession, making its way to Victoria Gardens for an afternoon of entertainment, stalls and fun for all ages. Al Green, Project Lead for Healthy Gay Cornwall, which is part of NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly, said: “We are proud to help sponsor the event and we aim to show that gay health is more than just sexual health. Whilst using condoms is important in reducing HIV risk, we’ll also be making gay and bisexual men aware of other health issues such as fitness, smoking cessation, alcohol consumption, healthy eating and relaxation.” For more information go online www.healthygaycornwall.org.uk or call 01209 313419
